Providing a platform to come to LINUX from MAC, ELEMENTARY OS is intended to be a fast, stable and clean DISTRO valuing PRIVACY and SECURITY as well as performance. PART 3 of our LETS TRY LINUX series takes a deeper look into ELEMENTARY OS.

From the offset, you can see how much this is based on APPLE’s OPERATING SYSTEM, having a centralised task bar at the bottom of the page and a clean DESKTOP space. ELEMENTARY OS boasts a very carefully selected group of apps to begin with, aimed at giving you out-of-the -box use of your system and no BLOATWARE to clean.

It also gives you the option to simply toggle off LOCATION TRACKING SERVICES which automatically blocks apps from tracking…
